Advancing AI capabilities, security standards, and intellectual property protection

After a highly competitive national selection process, DigitaLLeather doo has been awarded a 45.000$ grant within the Star Tech program, supported by Philip Morris and implemented by NALED.

Out of nearly 300 startup teams from across Serbia, only 12 companies were selected to receive funding. Being among this final group represents strong validation of our technology, our team, and the long-term potential of FMEA EXCELLENCE as a Deep Tech solution for industrial risk management.

🏛️ Star Tech Award Ceremony at Ložionica, Belgrade

The official award ceremony took place on December 15 at Ložionica in Belgrade, during a formal event organized by NALED as part of the Star Tech program. The event brought together representatives of innovative companies, industry experts, institutions and partners supporting the development of Serbia’s innovation ecosystem.

Receiving this grant in such a setting marked an important moment for our team, confirming that our work is recognized not only by the market but also by key national innovation stakeholders.

🚀 From FMEA EXCELLENCE 1.0 to FMEA EXCELLENCE 2.0

The awarded funds will be strategically invested in the next major evolution of our product. Within the Star Tech project, we will integrate artificial intelligence directly into FMEA EXCELLENCE 1.0, elevating the platform to FMEA EXCELLENCE 2.0.

This upgrade will focus on intelligent automation, advanced data analysis and smarter risk prioritization, enabling engineering and quality teams to work faster, more accurately and with greater confidence. The transition to version 2.0 represents a shift from digital support tools toward an intelligent, data-driven risk management system.

🔐 Building trust through security and compliance

In parallel with product development, a key objective of this project is achieving ISO 27001:2022 certification. This step will ensure that FMEA EXCELLENCE meets the highest international standards for information security, data protection and system reliability.

For our customers and partners, this certification represents an additional layer of trust, especially in regulated and quality critical industrial and automotive environments.

🧠 Protecting innovation and enabling long term value

An important part of the Star Tech grant is dedicated to the registration of intellectual property related to FMEA EXCELLENCE. By protecting our proprietary technology, we are laying the foundation for sustainable innovation and long-term growth.

This process will also allow us to exercise our rights within the IP Box framework, ensuring that innovation driven development is supported by a forward looking and efficient tax model.

🌍 What this means for FMEA EXCELLENCE

Being selected among the final 12 funded startups confirms that FMEA EXCELLENCE stands out at the intersection of engineering expertise, intelligent software and real industrial needs.

With the support of Star Tech, NALED and Philip Morris, we are entering a new phase focused on intelligent functionality, security by design and protected innovation. Our mission remains clear: to help industries manage risk more effectively and prepare for the future of manufacturing toward industry 5.0.
